Michael Nielsen, President and CEO, performed his first repair projects for a property management firm in 1977. Today, he continues to do business with that same company as well as for other property management firms. Since then, he has established a business that has changed and grown steadily over the years.
After operation as a sole proprietorship business under the name Nielsen Construction – General Contractor, the company was incorporated in 1990, changing its name to M.L. Nielsen Construction, Inc. In 1992, the company moved to its current and fourth office. In 1998, a second facility was added where much of the project preparatory work is performed.
Over the years, the company has diversified to include tenant improvements on commercial and industrial properties, residential remodels, public works projects for Bay Area cities and school districts, as well as small and large Homeowners’ Association reconstruction projects. Through word of mouth and an incomparable reputation for quality service, growth continues.
